Retreat Day

Right in the middle of the business of the holidays I am taking a Retreat Day tomorrow. A full day to just reflect, celebrate, focus and plan. I am going offsite (from my cozy home office) and feeding my creativity and spirit somewhere in the Atlanta landscape. I am sure I will start with a little Creative Bagel Time (tea and a bagel and some spiritual reading to get grounded and connected to that creative flow). I haven't yet decided where I'll spend the majority of the day...outside with nature, inside the Ritz Carlton near the fire, or perhaps at the zoo - with my journal, mindmaps and markers in tow!

My intention is to celebrate the beauty of 2003 and to consciously welcome in 2004! I'm taking my business plan, a few books as primers (There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem is top of the list - be sure to catch Wayne Dyer on PBS this month - it's a great special!)

Part of the focus for 2004 will be on what I want to create in my business - what programs, how do I want to spend my time, what is the impact I want to have...and part of the focus will be on what "systems" do I need to put into place to make that happen? I've already had a discussion with my VA (virutal assistant) about upping the level of responsiblity (and letting go on my part). So, what else will help me achieve my goals? What else will help me make it all "easy, natural & fun?"

I am also creating a vision of my whole life for 2004. What do I hold for my partnership with my husband, for myself as a mother, and for myself as a person? I have made a commitment next year to my next level of personal growth and one way of diving into that is through the CTI Leadership program (which is a year long intensive program). I am excited and a little nervous about the possiblities. It's a good place to be.

I watched "White Christmas" yesterday and Bing sang "Counting Your Blessings"...I think I'll be start with my wonderful friends, clients and collegues...

Enjoy your pre-holiday week!
