Being successful - do the inner work

On a recent discussion list that I am a member of, someone asked coaches..What does it take to be succcessful? Here is my Joyful answer that I'd like to share...

There are two areas I suggest you look at when growing your coaching
business and particularly around marketing of you and your business:

1. Your sweet spot

2. Being open to various coaching models and opportunities

Your sweet spot - spend the time, get the resources, get the coaching
you need to help you tap into that place where you are genuinely and
naturally alive in your business offering.

That means

-knowing and building your business from your strengths,

(this means it will come naturally and easily to you)

- knowing and building your business from your values,

(this means you'll be in integrity and you're more likely to put it out
to the world)

-incorporating your life purpose in your coaching,

(this is what drives you)

-embracing the gifts of your experiences - both personally and
professionally (don't deny or run from what you know!!)

(Use what you have learned from your experiences to coach others)

-know and stay focused on your passions

(this means you'll be excited to get up out of bed to do it each day!)

-And then right in the intersection of all of this is your own "sweet
spot", your personal excellence of what you have to offer - this is
where you find your niche and those marketing activities that will be
"easy, natural & fun" for you to do. Therefore, you're more likely to
show up and do it!!"

And, best of all, when you're aligned with that "sweet spot" you are
feeling good, joyful, and confident and you naturally attract clients!
Truly!

The second area to look at, after you've done the work above. - Be open
to packaging your coaching expertise in a variety of ways. Your
coaching business doesn't always have to be only concentrated on
individual clients. Again, know your strengths and your passions - and
look at the possibility of workshops/teleclasses, ebooks or other
passive revenue streams.

I hope this helps! It works for me, my clients and many others I know!
