Want to make a big leap? It starts with one step...

Many of you have noticed that I haven't been very active in sending out Joyful Marketing newsletters and running lots of teleclasses in late 2004. I'm getting emails saying..."Laura - are you still there?".  Oh yes, I'm here - bigger and brighter than ever. I've struggled with sharing what has been happening for me because it's been so big and I haven't known where to start.....One of the things I really learned over the last year is that when you want to go somewhere and it seems really like a big leap or maybe you can't see the way clearly on HOW to get there....just take one step....and then the next step will become clear.

Last year as part of a leadership program I was out in the woods and our goal was to walk through the woods with another person's mindset.  I chose my friend Marc (description: secret agent man/danger/full of creativity/loving/British).  I was walking on the cleared path through the trees when I saw a huge redwood with a gigantic hole - big enough to stand in. Trouble was there was all these bushes and vines in the way. I stood looking at the redwood in awe. Then knew that Marc wouldn't just stand here he would go rub his backside on it!!:)  I didn't know HOW to get there. So, I just took a step. Then from there I decided to go under a branch. Then from there I went over some vines, etc...soon I was there standing inside the tree - touching & feeling her beauty. A few minutes later another tribe member walked by and saw me and saw "cool!, can I join you?  How do you get there?"  The whole time she is climbing through the brush she is saying...I don't think this is the right way!  And, of course, soon she was standing right beside me.

I've felt a bit like a little girl standing on the path saying "How?" and now I'm ready to take a step even though there's so much to share and I don't know the how of it all......This is my first step (more to come...)
