Friday Energy
There is something about Friday energy....you know....TGIF. Even when you are loving your work there is a magic to Friday that is different - energizing from other days. It's more than being happy that the work week is done. I remember in my corporate gigs I always seem to get this incredible surge of creative energy on Friday afternoons. It would be too early to legitimately go home, too late to contact people and get any "real work" done, it seemed to open the door for abundant flow of creative ideas.
About a year ago I was leading a training program for a company on a Friday. I went to visit their office on the Thursday before to wrap up some details. While I was there I noticed that everyone in the office were really in a great mood that afternoon. I asked my client about it and she "Oh yeah, we're so excited about what we are doing with you tomorrow that today feels like Friday! We are all in a great mood!" It doesn't even have to be Friday to tap into the energy of a Friday! The story goes even further....the next morning (on Friday) I was getting my materials out of the car for the workshop and I took my CD player out of the trunk of my car. A guy was getting out of his car next to me and looked at my CD Player and said..."Yeahhhh, TGIF!"
Hmmm, I'm wondering how we tap into the Friday energy any time we want....?
