Guiding Principle #2: It's All About Energy
As the author of, Joyful Business Guide system, I have outlined 17 Guiding Principles of a Joyful Business.
These are guidelines, reminders, and validations for creating a success business based on using your joy energy. Why? Because the world needs a new modern business model - the old one is broken! Use joy as a guide for what you create, for what you give, and for what you receive - being intentional about it all.
Each week I would like to share one of the Guiding Principles. I would love to hear your thoughts, comments and own personal experience of each principle.
Guiding Principe #2:It's All About Energy
"Your ability to cultivate joy, show up each day and work on your business and life takes energy. How you pay attention to, manage and nurture your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energies shape your capacities and your experiences. So it is up to you to pay attention and take responsibility for your energies. "
I often say that as a business owner, your #1 most precious resource is NOT money, it's not even time, your #1 most precious resource is your energy. Without it nothing will happen! Today just start noticing your four energies: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Which one needs feeding? When one needs nurturing?

Laura- As I am working with BusinessMoms I would certianly agree that ENERGY is key and I might add that the ENERGY you have available is directly related to the way you spend your TIME! Having systems and organization in your home and office will certainly have a direct impact on your ENERGY level! I know we saw a BIG difference in YOUR energy as we completed the Miracle Makeover in your office last week! What a JOY it was for me to help you have even more JOY!

Debbye,
You are so right! Your energy is impacted by how you manage your time.
Also:
-your environment - it supports or takes away from your energy - Don't I know this one....(watch for a blog posting about my office environment with the help of Debbye!!)
-your health choice - food, sleep, vitamins, supplements and even just getting enough water each day impacts our energy
-your relationships - add to or detract from your energy
-exercise
-your thoughts and beliefs are big one...are they supporting your energy and inspired action or are they creating roadblocks?

I've discovered that I need to follow my energy--that's where I'm going to find the most happiness, fulfillment, and, yes, even productivity. If I have to force myself to do something, the output is crap.
On the other hand, when I follow the energy, even if it's to sit and cross-stitch and drink tea, I'm that better able later to create what I need for Write Well U or to have a conversation with someone.
Thanks, Laura, for getting the message out!
