What's all the fuss about?

I know many of you are also fans of Alexandria Brown, also known as the Ezine Queen/multi- millionairess, internet goddess. You may have heard her teleseminar the other night with David Neagle.

I'm a big fan of David Neagle's as well, although a new one.  Well, the two of them together talked about the real story about their journey to making their millions.

Up until now, Ali has always shared her marketing and internet wisdom along with encouraging words but not so much behind the scenes of her spiritual side.  This week she talked about connecting to source and how developing her "knowing" about her purpose helps her take the next step even when she doesn't see the bridge off the ledge, she just knows it will be there when she steps.

It was a very powerful call.  I even cried. Yes, I cried over hearing an internet marketing millionairess' story!  What happened?  She spoke from her heart about her "big why"...actually she was on the verge of tears so she didn't speak very much at that point...she didn't have to.  She was talking about her huge house she just bought - her dream castle in LA by the ocean. I thought that's nice - I want a dream house by the ocean too. But then, At one point she talked about ....I don't even remember the exact words...but she talked about the amazement of being able to buy this house on her own. She was talking about freedom, success, independence, big dreams coming true and having huge gratitude.  She had me at "freedom" :)  It resonated so strongly that I felt myself just weep out loud. (good thing we were muted!)  I heard from several of you that you felt the same impact.

I know that when we are touched by someone that it is because it lives in us.  Our relationships are mirrors for our own values.  I wanted to honor those values. I want to pull them out and claim them!  Underneath building our businesses, learning new things, making money and making meaning these core values live strongly.   I know that if you are reading this then those values or ones very similiar must live in you....freedom, success, independence, big dreams being a reality, huge gratitude.

I often say that as a business owner, your #1 most precious resource is NOT money, it's not even time, your #1 most precious resource is your energy.  Without it nothing will happen! Today just start noticing your four energies: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.  Which one needs feeding?  When one needs nurturing?

"Let's face it - you probably aren't always going to be in a joyful disposition. You can, however, be an observer and a learner. You can be sad, angry, frustrated or depressed and still find the good in those places (eventually) and be present to whatever is happening. With practice, you will start choosing to shift to a more life-giving joy perspective on life. You have the tools to do this."

A client the other day shared that she had received an email from a reader of her newsletter. The reader abruptly shared in her email that she didn't get what my client does. My client was upset and was trying hard not to take it personally.  I reminded her that she was, in fact, going through a major transition in her business and that she was working on her own clarity.  Actually she had set an intention to be clear by a certain date. So that dear reader was just reflecting back my client's own uncertainty and reinforcing that she in fact was right to be spending this time to get clearer about her business vision.

Everything you attract in your life and business is a mirror of your own thoughts and beliefs.  Just take a look!  With that perspective you tend to get a sense of humor and curiousity and yes then it is all good.

Purposely Cultivating Joy

"Joy is another way of saying...your well-being, happiness and peace. In purposely cultivating your well-being even in your business, you are committed to having a business which is authentic, real and vibrantly healthy.

Look at joy as both a barometer and a destination. It is a by-product of your success and it is a context in which you create success. it's not aobut putting a smiley face on everything and calling it a day.  It's about finding the good in everything including the delight, the sadness, the down parts and the wild ride up!  Bless where you are right now as the perfect place.

Joy is also a practice. It takes conscious practice each day and even in each moment. What you focus your energy on,mentally, emotionally and physically (ie: your thoughts, emotions and actions) is what you are in alignment with and will attract more of."

Hi!

I just wanted to share my latest article "Creating Your Personal Inspiration Plan, published in the March/April edition of Simply Home magazine.  This magazine goes to women entrepreneurs with home based businesses. My article is about creating a simplified version of the Joyful Business Guide for your own personal inspiration.  (like a personal attraction plan as well as a business attraction plan)

I am thrilled to be in this issue with Lisa Hammond (see front cover). She is the founder of Femail Creations, a company I've long admired, author of the book, Dream Big and after all that she started a direct marketing company called Barefoot Parties.  They have a really great concept:  gift ideas and accessories that are inspirational, creative and spiritual - all in the comfort of your own home or you can view from the catalog.

Spirituality in a Convertible?

One of the things I've realized is how many of my women entrepreneurial goddess clients feel torn between spirituality and materiality.  They really want more money to have a better life for themselves and their families, they want more travel experiences, and to experience a life of beauty.

They worry that somehow making more money and talking about material things isn't spiritual.  Well, through my own winding path with this question, what I now know for sure is that we are spiritual beings having a human experience. Part of the human experience is enjoying life, all the beauty, the delightful relationships, the amazing places and the sun shining on your face with the breeze blowing through your hair in a convertible! :) And yes, money helps make some of those experiences possible. (doesn't mean you'll enjoy them....)

When we first got this beautiful car (it's a Solstice) I felt a little unsure.  I had to confront my own limiting beliefs about "who am I to be SEEN in such a beautiful car" and I wondered if I was being too materialistic.

What I know for sure (thank you Oprah!) is that I smile everytime I drive with the top down! I laugh with delight as the morning sun warms my face and I hum along to Jack Johnson!  I feel so grounded, delighted, in a good mood and filled with a positive energy. I do believe the universe conspires for our well-being. And that we are meant to enjoy it.

And what I know is that money is a just a transfer of energy(it has no meaning without us)...it can bring us joy and it can leave us numb.  It's not about the money...it's about our how much joy are you will to allow in?

Ok, one more "what I know for sure" - for the first time ever in January, I commited $1000 to Women for Women International as a result of my first 100 sales of the Joyful Business Guide. ($10 for each system sold goes to Women for Women) THAT feels good....if I was ignoring my financial picture in my business I wouldn't be able to contribute in that way.

The Science of Getting Rich- in living color!

I just love meeting new enterprising and creative women entrepreneurs!  I recently met Jeannette Koczela who is both a freelance artist and a freelance graphic and web designer.

She has lovingly taken the book "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace Wattles and created these beautiful ArtCards.  They bring his positive prosperity messages to life!

Jeannette kindly sent me a few samples and they truly are beautiful to touch and display on your desk (and your bulletin board, car dashboard, bathroom mirror - whereever you need a prosperity reminder!).

I love to find new inspirational cards.  I will select a new one each day and display it on a stand on my desk. Often I'll buy two sets - one to use for myself and one to use to send occasional surprise messages to my clients. They are delighted to receive a hello and prosperity message in the mail!  It's a great way to inspirationally "pay it forward" and an easy way to stay in touch with clients (or former clients or potential clients!) as well.
