Find Your Spiritual Path to Profitable Business

Several years ago I met a very cool and creative women who helped me articulate my true spirit and message in such a clear way. Isabel Parlett, the Sound Bite Shaman, is a gifted woman who has the ability to get to the essence of your message (especially challenging for those of us in the transformational business) and help it connect to your clients' desire for practical results.

Well, she’s putting her true spirit to work in creating this extra special TeleSeries, called The Spiritual Path to Profitable Business.

I am in the company of some of the folks who I consider true leaders in bringing together the message of spirit and a successful business. I am honored to be with five other smart, creative, and successful business owners who are willing to spill the beans about how we created our soul-based, profitable business and what we learned along the way!

Are you yearning for a soul-satisfying and highly profitable business? A business that rewards you financially for doing the work you were called here to do?

Join us for six info packed evenings and listen in to a lively dialogue designed to draw out:

• the principles we live and work by,
• how we make our business decisions
• the lessons we’ve learned
• and the expertise we’ve developed around combining spirit and work.

Together, we’ll tackle the big questions that come up when we talk about spirit and business. Questions like:

• Will I be supported if I take a leap of faith and do work that’s outside the mainstream?
• How do I charge for doing work that I love to do?
• Can I really design and operate my business from a spiritual place and still make a good living?

The calls are on Monday and Thursday evenings and started January 25th -- 2 calls a week for 3 weeks.
(no worries the recordings are provided so you can catch up)

You’ll enjoy the humor of Molly Gordon, founder of Authentic Promotion, the compassion of Mark Silver, of the Heart of Business, the passion of Baeth Davis of the Hand Analyst, the wisdom of Kim Schneider, The Manifestation Maven, and the spiritual connection of Moira Shepard of Miracles with Moira and of course we will connect too!

'See' you then!

Get Your Marketing Mojo Working For You

Having worked with thousands of creative women entrepreneurs over the years, I see the common trend: you fall into the “safe marketing” place. Doing what everyone else is doing, using the same descriptor words, offering the same types of products and programs…and then wondering why your marketing efforts aren’t paying off with client interest and joint venture opportunities.

Turn your marketing around with these three Marketing Mojo perspectives.

1. What is your Movement? People don’t want to be marketed “to” or “at” anymore. Their days are too busy – they want to be moved. They want stories, passions, reasons to take action. They want hope and solutions presented to them that will change their routines and better their worlds in some way – whether it’s because they’ll change their habits, they’ll heal, they’ll laugh, they’ll be entertained, or they’ll achieve their dreams.

You have to step into your confidence about your passion and create more than a marketing strategy. Create marketing that moves people. They want to work with you or make a purchase from you because they are so engaged, your message is so compelling. They will read your ad or sales page, and they won’t be able to stop thinking about it – or talking about it.

Your movement comes from your own passion – either what has brought you pain or what brings you joy. A mother on my tennis team couldn’t find bottles and sippy cups that were “plastic safe,” so she created them herself. She is passionate about it, knowing that other moms are looking for these too. She is daring to put her passion into a product and sharing it with others too.

2. Give Them A Reason To Care. The world has changed and is continuing to move fast. In our information-drenched world, you have to capture your potential customers’ attention and give them a reason to read what you’ve written, to listen to your teleclass (one of hundreds that is sitting in their inbox) or your pre-recorded audio (where they had good intentions when they signed up, but now they’ve forgotten why they want to take the time to listen – not to mention it’s gotten buried down the list of emails in their inbox), or take the time to watch yet another video on YouTube.

The world wants to hear messages that resonate with authenticity and integrity. Dare to step up and speak your truth about your passionate area of expertise and call people forward to take action on what really matters to them.

3. Find Your Authentic Marketing Style. Let’s face it, not every one is cut out to be Oprah. Having a successful business isn’t about being someone else. The real secret is to know yourself and use that for maximum impact in your marketing. If you are an amazing writer, then ezines and blogging are perfect for you. If you have a great voice, then try audios, an Internet radio show, or a podcast to get your movement out into the world. If you look appealing on camera and communicate well visually, then let your message loose in video. Don’t try to do what doesn’t come naturally to you…lean into your Authentic Marketing Style. People will love it! When they love it, they’ll pay attention. They’ll be moved to share it. And they’ll be moved to buy what you are offering.

Your Work:

Dare to let loose your passion. Create a movement. Go deep. Be truthful. Speak from your heart. Focus on the marketing vehicle that feels right to you and do it well….so well that people talk about it!

Take Time to Line Up Your Energy First!

I love this morning's Abraham-Hicks daily quote:

Take the time to line up the Energy first, and action becomes inconsequential. If you don't take the time to line up the Energy, if you don't find the feeling place of what you're looking for, not enough action in the world will make any difference.
--- Abraham
Excerpted from the workshop in San Diego, CA on Sunday, August 3rd, 1997 #315

I am passionate in this "million different marketing option" world - you need to first line up your energy, listen, and then take action.  It's true that it seems counterintuitive to go "slow" but slow=faster results and more on targeted efforts and bigger impact - every time.

Sisters! Wake up! Written by Martha Pasternack upon awakening on a recent morning.

Sisters! Wake up!
Take a deep breath. Become aware.
It’s time to come back into your body from wherever you have been while asleep.
It’s time to wake up your body...mind...spirit...soul and dreams.

It’s time to get up!
and stretch your spines and bones and muscles, your insight...your courage

Shake off the long cozy slumber of the night. Write down your dreams
so you can remember them and share them with an elder.

By putting YOUR voice to YOUR dreams you might understand and be able to
manifest your dreams.

Sisters! Wake up!
It’s time to greet the sun with your song. It’s time to drink the pure water of life.

Sisters! Wake up!
It’s time to get ready to go to work. You have over slept and it is time to relieve
your sisters who have worked through the night caring for what we all care about.
They are tired and need to rest.

Sisters! Wake up!
It is your turn to go to work!
It is your turn to be in nature; give and receive love; appreciate beauty; nurture solitude; practice
forgiveness; laugh out loud; cry for a vision and cherish what you cherish.

Sisters! Wake up! The alarm has sounded and it’s time to wake up. We need you
now. We are hungry. We are thirsty. We are tired. We are getting weary and we
need your refreshed and rested energy.

Sisters! Wake up!
Wash your eyes out with the pure water of life.
Your hair looks great!
Now, throw on some jeans and let’s get to work!

There is work to be done!
It is time to...heal the beauty of this land,
It is time to heal our own hearts. it is time to heal the water, the joy, the love.
It’s ok. Do your best. The best you can do is ENOUGH if we all join together

Tease yourself into the safety of alert and joyful lightheartedness.
It is time to us all to meet at the table and break our fast from courageous action, self
expression and deep trust in each other. Come be with us.
Celebrate this new day with your love, your dance, your song, your laughter and your prayer.

5 Creative Planning Tips for a Joyfully Successful 2010

A couple of weeks ago in December, I offered five Creative Planning Tips for a Joyfully Successful 2010. In case you missed them, here they are again in one place. If you like these tips, check out the sale on the Joyful Business Guide at the bottom.

Tip #1: Schedule a creative planning day on your calendar
This time is important. It isn't an urgent fire you have to put out, but it will be some of the most important time you will spend on your business. This time will shape the success of your business, your focus, and the outcome for your entire year! It can be a half day, whole day or a weekend. It will be worth it to focus on what's possible.

Make sure you spend the time planning. Don't use it as a clearing house for all those daily to-do's. Use it to actually plan 2010.

Tip #2: Get out of your home office
I find that creativity, sparks, ideas, and inspiration don't usually come when I'm sitting at my desk. Going to a new environment like a café, a friend's retreat house, the lobby of a beautiful hotel, or even renting a lovely space for the day will shift my energy. What does shifting energy mean? Instead of having a "head down - what needs to be done next" focus, I'm able to have a "heads up and looking at the horizon" type of perspective.

By shifting your location, you are able to shift your perspective, and then you shift what's possible. New ideas come to you. Just the act of planning to go on a creative retreat outside of your office will subconsciously start pulling new ideas and thoughts toward you. Suddenly you will find that you are making notes of ideas to explore when you have your retreat time. Your commitment will cause your creative momentum to start moving in that direction.

Tip #3: Bring creative supplies
You don't want to develop your marketing strategies, creative ideas, and inspiration with a boring yellow legal pad. Pack your favorite markers, pens, or pencils, add some colorful, fun sticky notes to capture spontaneous free flowing ideas, bring paper or a tablet for making mind maps of ideas (a great way to access your right-brain creative thinking before your left-brain logic kicks in).

Do you have stickers or a favorite pen that you love writing with? Do you have cool big planning calendars or pads that you can't wait to dive into?

I find that the more I can support my creativity around planning for making more money, rolling out big marketing campaigns, or committing to a big project or that new platinum program - then the more tapped in I am to my creative flow, ideas, inspiration… And it's so much easier this way!

So - whatever makes you giggle with delight - bring with you on your creative planning day.

Tip #4: Set the stage for inspiration
I find that inspirational ideas don't always just happen when I say it's time. It's better to prime the pump. When I go on creative retreat time, I bring an inspirational book. Something by Wayne Dyer or Marianne Williamson works well when I want to be called into my purpose and passion; SARK books work well when I really want freedom to express my joy.

Bring along your favorite magazines like O, Ode (an entrepreneur type magazine which will help you get you sparked), Inc Magazine (with stories of other entrepreneurs and small business owners). Read a few pages to get the creative juices flowing and ideas moving.

I also find that connecting with my mastermind group or a coach will open up my inspiration in all new, big ways that I would have never thought of on my own!

Tip #5: Bring your Joyful Business Guide™ system
The Joyful Business Guide system provides the smart business tools you'll need - for getting clear about your ideal client, marketing system, team planning, and vision story, along with the attraction tools for setting your intentions and focusing on your projects.

I hear stories all the time from entrepreneurs all around the world using their Joyful Business Guides in cafes, libraries, cabins in the mountains, and at oceanside retreats and having a surprisingly wonderful time planning for their business. (It's like they are breaking all the rules! Planning and joy working together!)

And to help you more joyfully plan your successful 2010, I'm offering $50 off the Joyful Business Guide system.

The Joyful Business Guide usually sells for $249. Through Friday, January 8, you can get it for only $199. Use coupon code JOYFULLYCREATE to save $50 off the Joyful Business Guide. Click here to learn more and get your Joyful Business Guide.
