I just had to share one more cool event from my way creative colleague and ArtellaLand.com founder, Marney K. Makridakis.
In a few weeks, I'll be participating in the Virtual Blog Tour for the release of her new book, Creating Time: Using Creativity to Reinvent the Clock and Reclaim Your Life.

Do you know what the biggest hurdle is in creating sales pages?
Think about an upcoming program or product you're getting ready to promote. It's now time to write the sales page.

I know... I've heard it all.
"I don't really wanna do it" --- "It's hard" --- "I don't know how" --- "I'm SO afraid I'll be salesy." --- "It's just not fun!" --- "But what if it doesn't work?" --- "What if it isn't good enough?" --- "To be good enough - don't I have to sell my soul?"
These old stories keep you stuck.
They keep you from ever getting started.
Most clients I know get so busy with these stories that they don't even try.
Getting started is the biggest hurdle to creating a sales page. Once you get started, believe it or not, the ideas start to flow... a sales page emerges... you get more ideas... you tweak.... you add.... you delete... you reorganize.... and you get back that excitement about putting your work into the world!

TIP: Want an easy way to get started? Just start gathering information. You never start by actually writing the sales page… you gather first! (even if you think you do - at least mentally you're gathering fodder to start writing with later). TAKE ACTION: Gather photos of you or your product. Gather compelling words and phrases. Brainstorm your customers' pains and dreams. Look at the checklist we sent out yesterday, pick one item, and start gathering things you need. |

You may have noticed that I write... a lot. There are weekly Friday Joy Infusions, articles, inspirational blog posts, emails about cool things my colleagues are doing, sales pages, campaign emails... And that's just what YOU see.
