I am honored to be one of the 17 women interviewed for the premiere issue of Going Pro online magazine. This online magazine is beautiful, inspirational and full of practical information for how real women grow their businesses.

My interview is one among these other successful women, including Alicia Forest, Alexis Neely Martin, Gina Bell and many others.

When I received the preview copy last weekend, I literally read it "cover to cover." I really enjoyed the interviews of my colleagues and the realness we all shared about our business growth and personal growth. One truth telling I'll share here: When asked do we ever doubt or get scared any more, every one of us pretty much said, "Every day. All the time." Who Is That Woman? I Want to Know Her!

Last week, Wardrobe and Style Consultant Laurie Mandato, AICI FLC, joined me as one of my fabulous Guest Experts in my Business Goddess Attraction Marketing Program.  She talked about how important our headshots are.  Our photo headshot is our #1 marketing tool and is everywhere we show up: website, social media, Ning groups, mastermind forums, banners, EVERYTHING!

As Laurie shared with us, that photo really gives a person a reason to think, "I would really like to get to know more about this person.  She looks interesting/friendly/exciting/energetic..."

How To Trust Your Gut In Business

I interviewed my good friend and colleague, Dr. Jennifer Howard as our featured Guest Expert for my women entrepreneur program, Business Goddess Attraction Marketing Program.  Dr. Jennifer provided a highly energized and yet deep dive into what “trusting our gut” is all about.

You may not be a part of this program, but I still wanted to provide you with a couple of “Soundbyte Strategies” from Dr. Jennifer that you can use today in your business.

She reinforced the idea of "tuning in" as being a practice. It was helpful to hear her describe the two levels of tuning in: Level 1. – As in what you do in a concentrated practice like meditation or a reflective journal and Level 2. – Which happens moment by moment.

Great validation that really struck a chord with the women: We often think of using our intuition and we’ll know immediately what the answer is.  When decisions are big, we often will have mixed feelings.  We can have a feeling of “knowing” it’s the right path and yet still feel sad that we may be leaving a part of ourselves behind.

If You're Struggling, Then You Need to Shift. It's That Simple. Now to the HOW…

If what you are doing now isn’t working or isn’t enough, then you need to do something different. STOP struggling by repeating what you are doing now.

Here’s what I know needs to shift for most women entrepreneurs:

Money - It's what you need to run and sustain your business and support your life. Simple truth. Are you making enough? Is it flowing in consistently? (I know it’s not ALL about the money. It’s really about freedom, independence, expression, helping others… but if you can’t relax a bit about the money, then you can’t experience what you REALLY want). It’s time for you to SHIFT THIS.

Energy - It's also what you need to run and sustain your businesses. (No, this isn't a copy-paste errror - it's the truth.) If you can't manage your energy effectively - even well - then you could drown in a sea of self-doubt, constant questioning or just plain "running yourself ragged." This makes for poor marketing. Your work doesn’t get into the world. You don’t make money OR change lives. Are you nodding "yes"? It’s time for you to SHIFT THIS.

Power – I’m not talking about manipulating power. I’m talking about your leadership. Your impact. The change you are creating in the world. What I've found is that if any of your 7 Power Centers are constricted or "stopped up," then they affect all the other power centers.... stifling you, stopping you, maybe even paralyzing you. That always shows up in your money and ultimately your money center. You can tell how it’s working for you by looking at your current results. Is it working for you? If not, stop wishing it would change. SHIFT and do something different.

I see thousands of women business owners struggle to make consistent money and to reach a six-figure level of success. I see them...you…pull back power. YOU play small. YOU hide. You do great work, but you don’t charge enough or show up as the leader you really are.

I'm asking you to step into your power as a Business Goddess. Imagine the strength and the confidence a Business Goddess has. As a Business Goddess, you embrace your inner power and wisdom and put it into action in the world. Stand up tall and run your business the way a Business Goddess would.
